Raditz power level?; 1200 or 1500?

Raditz would've been effected a lot more severely from Gohan's rage attack, if it wasn't. It could've even killed him.

Is that a bit much? Well that's for you to decide. 1,500 does work if you assume Raditz's control over his own BP is amateurish since he he was killed by an attack registered at 1,440. One could argue that Gohan roughed him up to a point where that would kill him, but Raditz also claims he couldn't block the SBC prior to that sooooooooo yeah.... I personally accept 1,500 simply because I don't find much point in arguing with official material.

Chrome Favourite Manga One Punch Man	Nappa didn't actually say the Saibaimen were strictly "equal" to Raditz — that's a slight translation hiccup from Viz. The Japanese word he used more closely means "about the same" or in this case "rivaling." Which combined with Toriyama's input all points to the 1,500 figure for Raditz. I agree, however, his armor blocked a percentage of the blow; which is exactly what it was supposed to do. As for the OP: When he's fresh, I have him at around 1,500, which would put him at a 20% advantage over a Saibaman.

By this logic Krillin is more powerful than Second form Frieza because he cut his tail off. 1200-1500 PL is within rival territory. You don't need to have the exact same PL as someone to rival them. I agree, but he was weakened after Gohan attacked him. Even if he started at 1,500 at the start of the fight, he could've dropped to 1,300 after Gohan's blow. He made no attempt to block Gohan, even though his armor did glance a decent percentage of the blow. You can have a much lower PL and do damage to someone who's a lot stronger if you surprise them or they're not paying attention. Gohan and Krillin during the Freeza arc were able to fire a shot off on Freeza, who was distracted by Piccolo, even though they'd been considerably weakened because they transferred most of their ki to Piccolo.
